Wellington Phoenix captain Alex Rufer joins Martin Devlin on It's Only Sport ahead of Sunday's first leg of their A-League football semifinal clash with the Melbourne Victory. The 'Nix travel across the ditch for a tussle at AAMI Park, before returning to the capital for the second leg in just over a week.

Rufer talks to Devlin about the threats the Victory pose, the excitement as opposed to nerves they're feeling ahead of playing a finals match, how they plan to handle the likes of extra time and penalty shootouts should they occur, and more. If Phoenix are successful across the two legs, they'll qualify for their first-ever A-League Grand Final.

Martin Devlin is a veteran New Zealand radio and television broadcaster.
