CEO of NZNO Paul Goulter talks to Ani O'Brien

CEO of NZNO Paul Goulter joined Ani O'Brien to discuss the nurses pay equity settlement as well as immigration issues.

The NZNO is the largest nursing union in New Zealand representing about 55,000 nurses and this week the NZNO and its members decided they want the proposed DHB Nursing Pay Equity settlement referred to the Employment Relations Authority.

This decision was made due to widespread concern from members and other affected DHB employees that the DHB employers were not honouring an agreement signed last year that each employee would receive back pay on the basis of the new rates to 31 December 2019.

Ani is a writer, political commentator, and the Editor of Digital for The Platform.
