Eric Thompson - longtime motorsport journalist in New Zealand - joins Martin Devlin on It's Only Sport, previewing the 2024 Bathurst 1000. The Great Race takes place on the second Sunday of every October at Mount Panorama, and this year features a handful of Kiwis - including Matt Payne and Ryan Wood - who have a chance at getting on the podium.

Thompson talks to Devlin all about build-up to the race including the recent Sandown 500, his own memories of attending the 1000, and more.

Martin Devlin is a veteran New Zealand radio and television broadcaster.
