Eric Thompson - longtime motorsport scribe in New Zealand and a good friend of the show - joins Martin Devlin on It's Only Sport live in studio, recapping the Singapore Grand Prix in Formula One, which added another interesting layer to the 2024 championship. McLaren's Lando Norris claimed his third win of the season in a dominant drive, taking a chunk out of Red Bull driver and three-time defending champion Max Verstappen's points lead. Verstappen's lead is now 52 points with six races to go.

Thompson and Devlin talk all about the race and the ramifications on the driver's championship, while also discussing Kiwi Liam Lawson's chances at replacing Daniel Ricciardo at Visa Cash App RB for the remainder of 2024.

Martin Devlin is a veteran New Zealand radio and television broadcaster.
