Longtime motorsport scribe Eric Thompson joins Martin Devlin to recap the opening round of the 2023 Supercars season, which saw plenty of drama on and off the track.

In and amongst exciting car racing to bring in the new Gen3 era, Shane van Gisbergen was victorious in the final race of the weekend in questionable circumstances, making contact with Chaz Mostert on his way to the chequered flag. To top it off, van Gisbergen then refused to answer questions at a press conference.
