New Zealand ultra-runner Sam Harvey joins Marin Devlin on It's Only Sport, following his epic run in Christchurch earlier this week.

Harvey won the Krayzie Midwinter Backyard Ultra early on Monday in a total of 43 hours, covering a distance of 288km. He raised money for youth mental health charity I Am Hope. Harvey talks about how tough the run was, the pain he endures and dark places he goes to in his head, how he initially got into the sport, and more.

Martin Devlin is a veteran New Zealand radio and television broadcaster.
